The Easiest Way to Share the Gospel

With so many different ways to share the gospel, I certainly didn't think there was an EASIEST way to share the good news. Until Brave the Battle had its first gospel-sharing event. Yes, Brave the Battle had a gospel-sharing event. It happened earlier this year when a group of friends and I met up at a park to share the gospel while having a fun time. And that's when I realized the easiest way to share the gospel. Sharing the good news with the help of friends, is the simplest way to share the gospel.

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” Matthew 4:19. Jesus is God, but even He had a group of people that shared the gospel right alongside of Him. He wanted them to work together to share HIs word. When Christians are together, we are at our very strongest. Honestly, the thought of sharing the gospel still scares me sometimes. After all, I'm going up to a stranger and telling them about something that is extremely controversial. Even now, my nerves are tensing. But when I went out and shared the good news with my friends by my side, suddenly the challenge didn't seem so big.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 says: "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

Matthew 18:20: "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

Yesterday was my birthday, and some friends and I met up at a park to celebrate. After the festivities had concluded, I realized that two of my friends were talking to this older man who was going through some troubles in his life. It was a sad story that did have some sweet to it, but in the end, one of my friends took me to the side and asked if we should pray for him. The three of us took the man's hands, and we each took turns praying for him. In other circumstances, I would have felt nervous and uncomfortable. But surrounded by my friends, I could truly feel God's presence.

I knew that the conversation didn't just depend on anyone saying all the right things. I had my friend's back, and they had mine, and God has our backs inf these conversations just like my friends did.

Galatians 6:2: "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

Hebrews 10:25: "Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."

1 Thessalonians 5:11: "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."

I cannot suggest enough that the next time you go share the gospel, go do it with friends. There is something special at being united with people in a common effort to further the Kingdom of God. Next week, I will be posting the short testimonies of some of my friends that participated in the Gospel-sharing Event!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed this and will come back next week to read the testimonies! Please check out this week's challenge!

Ooh I love this! I love studying the Bible, praying and worshiping with fellow believers, so it makes perfect sense that sharing the gospel together would make it easier and more enjoyable.

This is amazing!! And it goes to show just how powerful other believers can be in each of our lives! I love the Bible verses in this lesson, especially Matthew 18:20... it's so encouraging knowing God is with me and my believer-friends when we gather to do things for His Will! 😍
