Sharing the gospel can be hard and frankly, quite scary. A lot of kid want to share God’s word, but it seems like there are not a lot of options. They all want to tell of their savior until they are told. “Go knock on that door and tell the creepy old lady with a hundred cats about the gospel. Good luck!” No thanks. Door to door works if you have a crazy amount of courage to go to a strangers’ door (personally, that feels a little sketchy now a days), and if they even open the door to give you the opportunity to be brave.
There are other ways of sharing God’s word without going to the person’s house, like sharing the gospel at stores, activities, and events. But these still require you to actually speak to the person. So, an easy effective way to conquer this problem, is to hand out gospel tracts. And if you already know this, and are about to close out this page, go ahead, but I would highly suggest you keep reading to see how you can make handing out these tracts more effective.
Printed gospel tracts you receive from church and events are good, but often, it would feel, to the person you are handing them to, that they are just one in a number of people that are going to get the Exact. Same. Tract. Everyone is special to God. Matthew 10:29-31 says, “Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s consent. But even the hairs of your head have all been counted. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” CSB. We want to make the person we are sharing with feel loved and cared about. You don’t have to have super artistic talents to make a tract look pretty. Often simple is better. That is why there is a short how to video on how to draw simple designs and memory verses on your tracts to make them more personal, and it will only take a moment! There is also a free tract button to click. Actually, there will be two tracts.
The first tract is just the normal gospel tract. When you are at a store, maybe an activity, or at some event, you can hand out your personalized tracts to people. No speaking necessary, but a smile goes a long ways. One could actually share God’s word on a smile alone, but that will be an article for another time.
The second tract will be a gospel tract but for workers. Even the smallest jobs are important, even though they are overlooked most of the time. What would life look like without bathroom cleaners, cart fetchers, checkout people, trash getters, mailmen, clothes folders, grocery baggers, and table washers. A pretty messy inefficient world. Today, I was shopping for my mom, when the grocery cart man came to get my cart. His job is a loop. He brings the carts in, and we take them back out. Looking really discouraged and bored, he took my cart from me, so with a smile, I asked told him to have a good week. Just acknowledging that he existed made him begin to smile as he returned the greeting. So, these gospel tracts will have a thank you to the workers on the back with the gospel. Hopefully they will realize through our actions that there is someone who appreciates them and loves them. Our God.
Phewf, that was a lot. Basically, handing out these tracts after making them personalized will mean a lot more than you think to these people. And hopefully, if we keep making efforts to brave the battle that is going on in the world, we will see a difference and more people will come to know our awesome God.
