Big or Small, God Calls Them All

"I don't think God can use me for that. It seems a little out of my ballpark." I wish I could count on my fingers how many times I have said this, but unfortunately the number is too high for me to tally. It is fine and dandy for people to say that God can use anyone, but does it sometimes feel impossible for God to use you? Does it feel like you are lacking in any special talents? Does it feel like everyone else in the world could do it better? Do you want more proof than just words to see that God can use you? Well, let me try to supply it for you.

Never once in creation has God created another you. He made you special from the first moment. "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb." Psalm 139:13. This might sound great, but that is easy for people who have talents to say that God made you special. But let me ask a few questions and see if we can clear this up.
Are you talkative? You can use your love of speech to make others who don't like to talk feel more comfortable in conversation. This can be a great opportunity to get to share the gospel.
Are you quiet? You can listen to others and make them feel loved and heard. Listening to other's problems and offering Biblical advice is an amazing way to share the gospel.
Are you friendly? Show others how much God loves them by being there for them and being the friend they might not have had.
These are only a few of many basic things that can make up you. I don't count myself as anything unique. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm ordinary. But that doesn't mean that God can't use me to do extraordinary things. Don't ever question the extent of what God can use you for. God doesn't make mistakes, and He definitely knew what He was doing when He created you. God had a specific purpose for you and will use that uniqueness if allowed. Technology is not one of my strong suits at all, and yet fully through Him, I was able to create this platform. He has also allowed miracles to happen and has given me amazing opportunities to talk to people to further His kingdom. I'll be sharing more about a certain miracle that happened recently in a future newsletter.
In short, don't ever question that God can use you to do amazing things. Below are examples of people in the Bible who all had problems and situations that didn't make it easy for them to do God's will. And quite frankly, some of them just didn't make sense for the task at hand. But I guess it is a good thing then that God does not call the qualified. He qualifies the called.

This is so important to remember! Just yesterday, I was feeling upset about my imperfections and wishing I didn't have to struggle with them. But then I realized that God is using them for His glory. As he heals a broken part of me or gives me strength in my weakness, His healing power and strength are revealed. His strength qualifies me.
I so much love the title, “God qualifies the Called.”
I accepted His forgiveness when I was 46 years old and came to Him with all the broken pieces of my sin filled life.
From that moment forward,
“He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”; (Philippians 1:6),
has shown me how He uses those “pieces” that He’s healed, to identify with others of similar brokenness.
